AMPM Expands Into Houston Market With Complete Mobile Billing Solution

HOUSTON—AMPM, an Austin-headquartered medical billing and practice management leader, announced today its expansion into the Houston market with the addition of Total Inpatient Services (TIPS) and Bon-Med Hyperbaric & Wound Care Associates to its client list.

"Our goal in 2007 has been to expand our reach throughout Texas. With the addition of Houston, we are now in all major markets of the state," said Kathy Campbell, President and CEO of AMPM. "Houston will continue to be a key focus for our expansion throughout 2008."

TIPS, which is a new hospitalists group serving nine facilities in Houston, will utilize AMPM's complete mobile billing solution, Pocket Practice®, which is a mobile charge system that integrates with AMPM's billing services. Pocket Practice® was originally designed for hospitalists and was launched in 2006.

Bon-Med Hyperbaric & Wound Care Associates will utilize AMPM's billing solution and practice management services. Practice Manager Dr. James P. Bonar is the Hyperbaric Wound Care Medical Director at Memorial Hermann Southwest Hospital.

For the last year, AMPM has been in expansion mode, utilizing technology innovation to expand its offering to doctors outside of the Austin market. AMPM currently services physician practices throughout Texas as well as markets in nine other states – Arkansas, Georgia, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Missouri, Oklahoma, Oregon and Virginia.

About Pocket Practice®
Pocket Practice® allows mobile physicians to capture charges at the point-of-care, interfacing with AMPM's billing software so that charges can be immediately processed. Pocket Practice® affords physicians enhanced communication and coordination with the back office side of the practice, resulting in more accurate and timely claims. Pocket Practice® can run on a PDA, Smartphone or even the web, giving physicians the opportunity to utilize the tool that best fits their needs.
